Moveys [Neon Green Vinyl] (LP)
Slow Pulp
Amoeba Review
Chicago-based indie rock band Slow Pulp's remarkable full-length debut album Moveys is full of blistering energy and emotional catharsis. Shimmering, shoegazer guitar and yearning vocals set the scene for emotionally honest lyrics about love and mental health. Slow Pulp's adventurousness is compelling; songs with funky samples co-exist in the same collection with gorgeous acoustic melodies. This 10-track album also showcases the band’s resourcefulness and resilience, as it was completed long-distance while the band members sheltered-in-place apart from each other. Truly an album for our Covid era times.
