He’s assembled an all-star artistic set, too, with narration throughout the album provided by Eckhart Tolle and Lamar’s partner Whitney Alford, plus appearances by Ghostface Killah, Baby Keem, Blxst, Amanda Reifer, Sampha, Taylour Paige, Summer Walker, Sam Dew, Tanna Leone, and Beth Gibbons (Portishead). It’s an aching, searching, exquisite album that demands attention and will linger in your mind long after the last track fades away.
