Like everything else this year, Black Friday 2020 will look very different. On Friday, November 27, Amoeba San Francisco and Amoeba Berkeley will be open for in-store shopping and will use a menu system for the limited edition Record Store Day Black Friday titles, just like they did for the RSD Drops. Plus, our Bay Area stores will have special sales on Black Friday, including 25% off Amoeba gift certificates for one hour only! Be sure to arrive early to shop the best selection of titles and sale items.

Amoeba.com will be ready for the big day, with a huge selection of RSDBF releases available starting at 10am PT on 11/27 for those folks who can't make it to their local record store. We won't be able to carry every title on the lists due to the extremely limited nature of the releases. As always with these limited edition titles, there are no pre-orders or holds allowed and there is a limit of 1 copy per title per person.

Amoeba San Francisco & Amoeba Berkeley Black Friday Details:

On Friday, November 27th, Amoeba San Francisco is open 9am - 7pm and Amoeba Berkeley is open 10am - 7pm. Both stores will use a menu system for RSDBF titles, rather than putting them on the floor as in years past. Customers who want Black Friday titles will line up outside in the morning,  wearing a face covering and maintaining 6 feet of social distance from one another, and fill out their menus. If you don't want the limited edition Black Friday titles, you are welcome to come in the store and shop normally.

Amoeba staffers will collect the menus in order and give customers a clip to retrieve their bag. It is very important that you hang on to this clip as it is how you will pick up your RSDBF items.

We will fill each customer's request for RSDBF items in order to ensure that the items are being sold fairly according to their place in line. Once the bags are filled, they will be waiting for the customer at the registers. Hand the cashier your clip to claim your bag and the cashier will do the rest. You can go over your menu, compare it to what's in the bag, and put back any items you may not want at that time.

Amoeba SF and Amoeba Berkeley are following all local health and safety guidelines, including social distancing and mandatory wearing of face coverings over the nose and mouth. Hand sanitizer stations are placed at the entrance and around the store. We kindly ask that you use hand sanitizer before entering the store.
