The 54th annual LA Pride Parade and LA Pride Block Party takes place in Hollywood on Sunday, June 9, 2024! Check out maps, street closure, and parking information below. Both events are free and, with the Block Party happening just outside of Amoeba, there's a full day of fun and celebration to be had for all! Come for the festivities and stick around to shop our vast selection of music, movies, books, t-shirts and more.

Amoeba Hollywood will be open 11am-9pm on Sunday, June 9th. There will be street closures around the store due to the Block Party. If you are driving, your best bet will be to approach the store from the south. The entrance to the El Centro parking garage on Argyle Blvd, just half a block south of the store, will be open as usual that day. As always, we validate for the El Centro parking garage for 75 minutes with purchase.

Or take the metro! Amoeba is directly across the street from the Hollywood/Vine stop on the metro B (red line). In honor of Pride, METRO is changing the station names. Hollywood/Vine station will be changed to Hollywood & PRIDE Station.

The LA Pride Parade will take place between 11am - 3:30pm, beginning at Sunset Blvd and Highland Ave heading north, then east onto Hollywood Blvd, then south onto Cahuenga Blvd, ending at Sunset Blvd and Cahuenga Blvd. George Takei will be honored as the Icon Grand Marshal; Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley, as the Community Grand Marshal; and Cassandro, El Exótico as the Legacy Grand Marshal.

The LA Pride Block Party kicks off after the LA Pride Parade, with festivities happening from 11am - 8pm on Hollywood Blvd between Vine and Gower. Enjoy this free street festival featuring delicious food, beer gardens and pop-up bars, vendors and community groups, photo ops, Drag shows, live music, DJ sets & more.
