CicLAvia in Hollywood 8/18

Ciclavia

Amoeba Music and dublab are teaming up for an epic full day of music and live performances at CicLAvia: Meet The Hollywoods on Sunday, August 18th from 9am to 4pm! Enjoy all day live music and fun at the Amoeba + Dublab stage located at the Walk of Fame Hub at Hollywood Blvd. & Orange.

CicLAvia is a non-profit organization that has been opening streets throughout LA County since 2010 to encourage everyone to experience car-free open streets. Enjoy the pop-up park for the day in your favorite people-powered way, whether that's walking, jogging, biking, roller skating, skating, or simply spectating! All ages and abilities are welcome.

Come to the Walk of Fame Hub at Hollywood Blvd & Orange and say “hi” to Amoeba and Dublab! Enjoy this amazing line-up made possible with generous support from LA County Board Chair and Third District Supervisor, Lindsey P. Horvath.

Here's the schedule for the Amoeba and Dublab-curated stage:

9:00 am - Pony Sweat Aerobics

10:00 am - Monalisa

11:00 am - Gabriel Da Rosa

12:00 pm - Zama Dube

1:00 pm - Logan Hone’s Feel-Good Music Train

2:00 pm - LUPE

Amoeba Hollywood will be open 11am-9pm on Sunday, August 18th. Please note, there are several street closures nearby so it's a great day to take the metro! The Hollywood/Vine stop on the metro B (red line) is directly across the street from Amoeba.

If you are driving to Amoeba on Sunday you should approach from the south – the closest north/south streets open for crossing Hollywood Blvd. will be Cahuenga and Vine. The entrance to the El Centro parking garage on Argyle Blvd, just half a block south of the store, will be open that day. As always, we validate for the El Centro parking garage for 75 minutes with purchase.

New to CicLAvia? Here are some things to know before you go:

** CicLAvia is FREE!

** CicLAvia lasts from 9am to 4pm.

** CicLAvia closes streets to car traffic and opens them for people to walk, skate, bike, play, and explore parts of Los Angeles County.

** CicLAvia is not a race! There's no starting point or finish line—begin where you like and enjoy the day your way.

** CicLAvia traffic flows in two directions, just like regular traffic. Check out more rules of the route.

** As a general rule of thumb, only people-powered vehicles are allowed, with exceptions for persons with disabilities. That means we do not allow electric scooters, electric skateboards, hoverboards, electric unicycles, motorcycles and other non-people-powered vehicles, but we do allow motorized wheelchairs and related vehicles for people with disabilities. We want to make sure that everyone can enjoy our route.

** Are e-bikes allowed? Class 1 e-bike pedal-assist allowed. Class 2 e-bikes allowed when throttle is powered off. Class 3 e-bikes allowed when pedal-assist is powered off. Learn more here. General rule of thumb: if you're pedaling (and not riding), you're clear.

** As consideration for being allowed to participate in a CicLAvia, all participants are deemed to have released from liability and waived any right to sue its organizers, their employees, officers, volunteers and agents from any and all claims, including claims of negligence, resulting in any physical injury, illness (including death) or economic loss suffered as a result of participating in this CicLAvia.

** By participating in a CicLAvia event, each participant understands that there are risks, such as physical and/or psychological injury, pain, suffering, illness, disfigurement, temporary or permanent disability, death or economic loss. These injuries or outcomes may arise from a participant’s or other’s actions, inactions, or negligence, or the condition of the location (s) or facility (ies). Nonetheless, participants assume all known and unknown risks of participation in CicLAvia.
