Los Angeles, mark your calendars! The inaugural VinylFest, a one-of-a-kind celebration of vinyl music, DJ culture, and rock & roll, is happening Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 11AM to 7PM at the iconic Original Farmers Market at 3rd & Fairfax. This exciting event is the culmination of the Market’s 90th Anniversary celebration and will bring together music lovers, collectors, and creators for a day filled with discovery, creativity, and holiday cheer.

Visit the Amoeba booth where we'll have the exclusive pre-release vinyl of Jerry Garcia & David Grisman's Bare Bones: Volume 1 from the Garcia Family and Round Records, plus a curated selection of vinyl and gifts, Amoeba Happy Hour Gift Certificates and more!

Joining the party will be a host of cool folks spinning all-vinyl DJ sets all day: featuring KCRW’s own Jeremy Sole, When the Needle Hits the Groove MC Geoff Hanson, and other popular and emerging DJ talent curated by LA’s dublab. The DJs will all be spinning on equipment provided by AlphaTheta (aka Pioneer DJ), who will be featuring their latest turntable and mixing gear at the event.

KCRW with will be there with their vinyl listening station, exclusive merch and gifts, gift wrapping in exchange for a donation to the station!

Jail Guitar Doors, the event’s non-profit partner, will showcase their mobile recording studio offering an opportunity for VinylFest guests to record their own song, along with selling a limited vinyl album by JGD founder Wayne Kramer released posthumously.

Additional highlights include the chance to play Stern Pinball’s rock-themed pinball machines, such as Metallica (Remastered), Foo Fighters, Iron Maiden, and Rush. Shop at an exclusive one-day only revival of the legendary House of Records selling a mix of old-school vinyl. And enjoy an exhibit of iconic live music photographs by LA-based photographer Jeff Kravitz.
