Jlin is a visionary. That's evident on her new album, Perspective. Her music fuses elements of IDM, electronic, and footwork to create cinematic soundscapes with a crystalline air and a sense of buried darkness. Having worked with dance performance companies in the recent past, Jlin wanted to include even more organic percussion into the mix on her latest, and as a result, this album feels alive, danceable, and urgent. Perspective is an awesome accomplishment and marks Jlin is one of the most interesting artists working in this sphere today.
