The Vaccines deliver another grand, hook-laden rock 'n' roller with their latest, Pick-Up Full Of Pink Carnations. "Sometimes, I Swear" starts on a plaintive, pensive note before erupting into a raucous, catchy-as-hell chorus. "Heartbreak Kid" delivers another addictive chorus over propulsive post-punk guitars — the band takes existential and romantic despair and turns it into an upbeat, fist-pumper of an anthem. Pick-Up is The Vaccines at their sweeping, arena-ready best.
