Quietly Blowing It (LP)
Hiss Golden Messenger
Amoeba Review
With Quietly Blowing It, His Golden Messenger’s M.C. Taylor has created one of the most fully-realized records of his career. On the album, Taylor says, “I went looking for peace,” and there’s certainly a thoughtfulness intrinsic to the songcraft, an atmosphere of hope and joy in spite of all the time spent in the muck of everyday life. Featuring deceptively easy-going melodies, introspective and self-aware lyrics, and a grounded, pastoral vibe, Quietly Blowing It is a true delight for fans old and new. A beautiful, wistful, buoyant piece of work.
