Rabbit Rabbit (CD)
Speedy Ortiz
Amoeba Review
Speedy Ortiz's Rabbit Rabbit is jam-packed with fierce, high-energy, punk rock tracks that are impossible not to like. Named after guitarist/singer/songwriter Sadie Dupuis' childhood OCD-influenced incantation for good luck, the album feels like a reckoning, of past habits that didn't work, wishes for good luck and growth, and an assessment of the challenges and excitement ahead. The songs are tightly crafted, filled with scorching riffs, intense feedback, and honey-sweet vocals. Rabbit Rabbit is one of Speedy Ortiz's best. Turn it up loud and bang your head to these bittersweet tunes.
