Regards To The End (LP)
Emily Wells
Amoeba Review
If you’ve slept on the artistry of Emily Wells so far, Regards to the End should wake you up. Because despite Wells’ ethereal, melancholic melodies, the album is a wake up call; the singer explores topics like climate change, the AIDS crisis, lockdowns, and her life as a queer artist descended from a series of evangelists. Her voice soars fervently over dark washes of synth and sweeping strings; the effect is hypnotic and otherworldly. Beautiful, strange, and emotionally gripping, Regards to the End is a wonder.
