Release Me 2 (LP)
Barbra Streisand
Amoeba Review
If you ever forget why Barbra Streisand is a legend, just queue up her latest, Release Me 2. It’s the long-awaited follow-up to her 2012 compilation Release Me, and it’s filled with gorgeous rare and previously unreleased tracks. The lead single is a standout duet with Willie Nelson, “I’d Want It to Be You,” and the second single is a duet with another equally beloved American figure: Kermit the Frog. Yep, “Rainbow Connection” is on here, and it’s a delightful showstopper. A jewel box of an album that should make Streisand fans very, very happy.
