Rosie [Eco 'Rosie' Red Vinyl] (LP)
Kaycie Satterfield
Amoeba Review
On her debut album, Rosie, LA-based musician/songwriter/producer Kaycie Satterfield already sounds like a star. Satterfield's lilting, lyrical indie rock pulls in elements of post-punk, dream pop, and synthwave to create kaleidoscopic, vividly alive tracks. It's easy to get lost in these glittering melodies; they're often ultra-catchy, with an edge to the surface loveliness of the arrangements and vocals. Rosie is an astounding debut. It's also one of the year's most intriguing releases.
