The album title nods at its thematic elements: basically, yeah, Brother Ali knows we're all going through it, but instead of despair, he offers hope, resilience, and joyful defiance. Moving seamlessly from psych rock to smooth '80s R&B to tropicalia and old school samples, Ant's beats are lush, eclectic, and frankly brilliant. This is an album full of surprises and delights, from Ali's relentless yet upbeat flows to Ant's gorgeous, often surprising production work.
