Slipping Away (CD)
Tim Heidecker
Amoeba Review
Tim Heidecker's Slipping Away is a warm, inviting, excellent collection of '70s-inspired rock. The songs are homespun and cozy, a lovely container for Heidecker's thoughtful, vulnerable lyrics. The melodies often serve as a contrast to the heavier themes Heidecker explores throughout the album: known as half of the cult fave comedy duo Tim & Eric, these bittersweet, sincere songs aren't afraid to get serious. That's what makes Slipping Away so special. The album blends light and dark, delivering well-crafted, sunny tracks that go straight to the heart.
