Solar Power [Brown Vinyl] (LP)
Lorde
Amoeba Review
Just in time for the end of summer comes Lorde’s sun-soaked, beachy keen new album, Solar Power. It’s her breeziest, most upbeat album yet, with the requisite ear worms focused on the simple joys of letting the heat take over. And her list of collaborators is smoking hot for sure, with Jack Antonoff sharing writing credits, handling production, and contributing bass and guitar, and with indie world icons Clairo and Phoebe Bridgers singing backup. It’s pure fun, polished pop with the slightly off-kilter edge that Lorde brings to all her best work.
