Step Up serves as the unreleased second half of Tower of Power's 2018 album, Soul Side of Town. The group's longlasting big band funk sound excels on the energetic tracks, “The Story of You and I” and “Any Excuse Will Do." Current frontman Marcus Scott delivers socially conscious and witty lyrics on the latter as well as "If It's Tea, Give Me Coffee." The legendary Tower of Power never fails to deliver a fun blast of funk, despite their 50+ years of playing music.
