Stephen Stills Live At Berkeley 1971 (CD)
Stephen Stills
Amoeba Review
For the first time ever, Stephen Stills is releasing the live concert recordings from his August 20 and 21, 1971 solo performances at the Berkeley Community Theater in Berkeley, CA. Stephen Stills Live at Berkeley 1971 captures both the intimacy and the energy of those dates, when Stills performed backed by The Memphis Horns, opening each show with an acoustic session and closing with an electric session. The album includes beloved tracks like “Love the One You’re With,” “49 Bye Byes,” “For What It’s Worth,” You Don’t Have to Cry,” and “The Lee Shore.” David Crosby makes a guest appearance on the latter two tracks. In short, Live at Berkeley captures the magic that made Stills fans fall in love with the music all those years ago.
