Still Woman Enough (LP)
Loretta Lynn
Amoeba Review
The legendary Loretta Lynn celebrates turning 89 this year with an album that recreates some of her many wryly feminist hits, co-sung by guests like Carrie Underwood, Margo Price and fellow legend Reba McEntire. Price duets sweetly with Lynn on the harried wife & mother favorite, "One's On The Way." The album also includes country classics and characteristic new songs, with McEntire and Underwood singing on the passionate title track. "Coal Miner's Daughter" receives a poignant recitation from Lynn this time around; the line "a lot of things have changed since way back then" may have never been more true, but Lynn's lyrics continue to be relevant.
