In 1990 the DC comic book SWAMP THING was serialized and brought to the screen by the USA Network. The show followed two big-screen adaptations of the character (SWAMP THING in 1981, and THE RETURN OF SWAMP THING in 1989) and once again called upon the services of Dick Durock, who played Swamp Thing in both films and in this series. The creature is an incarnation of former doctor Alec Holland, who is splattered with chemicals and falls into a Louisiana swamp after a bomb is detonated in his lab. He emerges as Swamp Thing, an eco-friendly creature who fights to protect his habitat, and tries to save humanity from its own destruction. First half of Season 3.
