After collaborating with Murs earlier this year, the prolific duo Atmosphere releases its eleventh studio album, The Day Before Halloween. The album's themes reference a 1984-type surveillance state as the true horror of the season, and the tracks dig into appropriately darker sounds. The single "Blotter Acid Reflux Syndrome" is a moody, eerie, slow-burner accompanied by a video about LSD and its strange history, including Project MK-Ultra.
