The Feminine Divine (LP)
Dexys
Amoeba Review
The legendary Dexys return with their first album since 2012, The Feminine Divine. Frontman Kevin Rowland describes the songs as a personal (if not 100% autobiographical) look at a man whose views of women have evolved over the last few decades, and an exploration of the traditional concept of masculinity. Of course, this being Dexys, the tracks are upbeat and super catchy, with ska horns, disco handclaps, and swelling strings. The Feminine Divine is fresh, soulful, and a lot of fun.
