The Long Goodbye (CD)
Candlebox
Amoeba Review
After thirty years in music, Candlebox bid their farewell to fans on The Long Goodbye. "Punks" is both an industry kiss-off and a cautionary tale to up-and-coming bands, and frankly it feels pretty punk rock. Featuring Mona, "What Do You Need" is a slow-burner with elements of electric blues and alt-rock. If you've been a longtime fan of the band, The Long Goodbye will feel like a gift as well as a bittersweet ending. But it'll also feel like a celebration of the power of emotionally-charged, grunged-out rock 'n' roll.
