Things Are Great [Translucent Rust Vinyl] (LP)
Band Of Horses
Amoeba Review
Band Of Horses are at their most powerful on the aptly titled Things Are Great. The songs are bold, big rock ’n’ roll numbers with an indie slant and country vibe, ideal for roadtrips and explorations of the great outdoors. The band just naturally evokes that Big Sky, “out west” feeling, their sound conjuring up a sense of spaciousness, rough-and-tumble beauty, and independence. Fans will dig the many rollicking cuts on this album, as well as the more intimate, introspective slow numbers. Something Great, indeed.
