Three Bells (CD)
Ty Segall
Amoeba Review
The evolution of Ty Segall continues on Three Bells. "My Best Friend" is woozy, psychedelic, and kaleidoscopic. "My Room" takes some of those tripped-out elements and filters them through a romantic, rather downbeat atmosphere. Three Bells feels like a journey through the subterranean side of the soul, emerging at times into the light, at others getting pulled back into the darkness. This is an album you'll feel deep in your bones, and it's one of Segall's most impressive.
