The inimitable Kool Keith returns for another cosmic journey, this time teaming up with producer L’Orange. Time? Astonishing! is a concept album about an early 20th century time traveler who discovers the ability to visit the future...but just like, with the most ho-hum, "over it" attitude ever. On returning, naturally, everybody thinks this guy needs treatment and so when we, as listeners, enter the picture, what we encounter is the absurdist ramblings of the traveler's sedated subconscious....over some really sick, galactic beats. Featuring appearances from Blu, Open Mike Eagle, MC Paul Barman, Mr. Lif, J-Live, and more, this is a deeply entertaining, astrally atmospheric journey into hip-hop's underground. Time? Astonishing! expands the legend of Kool Keith. If you're a fan, you'll definitely want to add this one to your collection. If you're not a fan yet, well, get ready to get weird and get impressed.
