Time To Melt [Freeze Pops Vinyl] (LP)
Sam Evian
Amoeba Review
The title track of Sam Evian’s new album, Time to Melt, is a pleasing dose of psychedelic, tropicalia, and disco-influenced indie rock. It’s just one highlight in this consistently groovy set with socially conscious lyrics. The funky percussion and slinky strings on “Knock Knock” are quite satisfying, and “Never Know” is solid Beatles-esque psych-pop. It’s a sunny, dreamy playlist, chock full of earworms.
