Amoeba Review

Ambient artist William Basinksi teamed up with his studio assistant Preston Wendell to create Sparkle Division, whose debut album is To Feel Embraced. The largely instrumental record is a retro-space-aged soundscape of lounge, neo-soul and jazz with electronic swells and beats. Guests include the late Henry Grimes and London vocalist Xeli Grana. The project was completed in 2016 but only just released in 2020, offering an airy, atmospheric escape from our tumultuous times.
