Toward The Fray (CD)
The Infamous Stringdusters
Amoeba Review
The Infamous Stringdusters address social unrest on Toward The Fray, combining pointed, honest lyrics with the virtuosic fiddle and banjo arrangements of their progressive bluegrass sound. “Means To An End” and “Hard Line” showcase the band’s rockin’ energy and soaring melodies. The folky “I Didn’t Know” employs an anthemic chorus to acknowledge white privilege and resolve to stay vigilant. Elsewhere “Down From The Mountain” has a gothic country feel and “Revolution” is a lively, pretty instrumental.
