Trainspotting [OST] (LP)

Amoeba Review
In the annals of great soundtracks, Trainspotting has to be one of the GOATs. Danny Boyle's 1996 film is also, of course, legendary but even if you weren't enamored with the exploits of Renton, Sick Boy, Spud, and the others, this soundtrack would stand on its own as essential listening. With choice cuts from Iggy Pop, Brian Eno, Underworld, Primal Scream, Blur, Sleeper, Bedrock ft. KYO, Lou Reed, New Order, Pulp, Elastica, Leftfield, and Damon Albarn, this album changed the lives of thousands of young people who were just getting into the musical underground at the time of its release. Whether these artists are old hat to you or you're just diving into the realms of Brit pop, post-punk, and techno, the Trainspotting soundtrack is undeniably a superb, sublime collection.
