Valentine [Gold Vinyl] (LP)
Snail Mail
Amoeba Review
Snail Mail’s Valentine finds Lindsey Jordan firing on all cylinders. Written and produced by Jordan alongside co-producer Brad Cook (Waxahatchee, Bon Iver), the album sounds bigger, bolder, and more badass than even Snail Mail’s previous excellent releases. That lo-fi charm and DIY vulnerability are still present, but there’s a new dynamism on display, with sing-a-long-ready choruses, dreamy synths, and swooning melodies rich in romance. A powerhouse of an album, packed with all the heartbreak, hope, and slow-burning emotion fans could hope for.
