Oklahoma’s Wyatt Flores is the latest singer-songwriter to fall into the Red Dirt subgenre of Oklahoman country music. On his full-length debut, Welcome to the Plains, the 23-year old Flores boldly tackles the history and hard life of his home state on tracks like “Little Town,” the title track “Welcome to the Plains,” and the damning “Stillwater,” a lament to those who never left their hometown.
