Which Way (LP)
Will Fox
Amoeba Review

Will Fox's debut record, Which Way, is an intoxicating, thoughtful start to his solo career. Having previously played in the indie group Los Angeles Police Department, Fox creates gently moody folk-rock tunes, sometimes seemingly in slowed down time. His voice is an intimate puzzle: sincere, vulnerable, yet always just out of reach. Paired with his fragile electric guitar strum, which brings to mind The Velvet Underground's more understated guitar ballads in tone, and Insomniac-era Radiohead in certain chord choices, a hypnotic trance is created, occasionally jarred by an unanticipated progression or flourish. A thoughtful and introspective listen.
