Wolves (CD)
Candlebox
Amoeba Review
On their seventh studio album, Candlebox continues to build on their distinctively dark alt-rock sound. The band ventures out in some exciting new directions at times, finding the power in the quiet on “Riptide” and adding a dusty, backroads Western air to “Sunshine.” If it’s the band’s now established modern rock sound that draws you in, however, you certainly won’t be disappointed with Wolves, as there’s plenty of stadium-ready riffs and sweeping vocals to meet your needs. A rough, rowdy, absolute howl of an album with an eclectic mix of tunes ready to meet your every mood.
