Working Men's Club [Limited Edition] (LP)
Working Men's Club
Amoeba Review
Working Men's Club offers a stylish electro-pop sound on their self-titled album, sometimes with swirling vocals a la Tame Impala (“Outside”) but more often with talky, post-punk vocals (“Valleys,” “Cook A Coffee”). There's a fun blend of '80s New Wave or synth-pop with modern electro-rock throughout. “John Cooper Clarke” has Gary Numan-esque synths while “A.A.A.A” and “Be My Guest” tease us with industrial and Goth-rock sounds. Working Men's Club will get you up on your feet and stay in your head all day.
