Cameron Carpenter - Biography
Cameron Carpenter is a stereotype-defying Juilliard trained organist. A composer and performer whose repertoire includes everything from film scores to Bach to his own compositions, Carpenter has appeared as a soloist with some of the world's preeminent orchestras, performing at leading venues like Royal Albert Hall and Lincoln Center. He holds the distinction of being the first organist ever to be nominated for a Grammy award for a solo album, 2008's Revolutionary.
Carpenter's latest album, If You Could Read My Mind, was released in summer 2014 to much fanfare. In early 2015, Carpenter embarked on a worldwide tour in support of the album, accompanied by his International Touring Organ, a powerful digital organ made for travel and easy assembly. Carpenter is one of the rare artists who regularly greets fans and signs autographs before his performances.
