King Krule - Biography
King Krule is the stage name of British singer, songwriter, producer and guitarist Archy Marshall. Uninterested in contemporary mainstream music, Marshall started writing songs at a young age, recording demos on a malfunctioning laptop and sharing them online via Bandcamp and Soundcloud. He released his debut single, "Out Getting Ribs" (House Anxiety Records), in 2010 under his Zoo Kid moniker. He began performing under the name King Krule in July 2011 and released the King Krule EP in November 2011 on True Panther Sounds. He followed it up with the Rock Bottom / Octopus 12" shortly thereafter. In December 2012, King Krule was nominated by the BBC for their "Sound of 2013" list. Marshall released his first official full-length album, 6 Feet Beneath the Moon (True Panther Sounds) on his 19th birthday in August 2013.
