Strand Of Oaks - Biography

Strand of Oaks is the musical project of Philadephia-based singer/songwriter Tim Showalter. Although he has been writing and recording music since 2003, the folk rock singer's first album as Strand of Oaks, Leave Ruin, wasn't released until 2009. Pope Killdragon followed a year later.

Three years later, Showalter released Dark Shores and hit the road for tours with Phosphorescent and The Tallest Man on Earth. The Darker Shores EP came out shortly afterwards. In 2014, Dead Oceans released Strand of Oaks' Heal. The band is on tour throughout Europe and North America this spring/summer.
