Theophilus London - Biography
Theophilus London is a Brooklyn-based Hip-Hop artist who has been described as "genre-bending" because of his ability to blend soul, pop, punk, electro and R&B. London, who cites Michael Jackson, Prince, Kraftwerk and The Smiths as some of his major influences, released a series of mix tapes and the Lovers Holiday EP (Warner Bros., 2011), which landed him a performance on The Late Show with David Letterman. His full-length debut, Timez Are Weird These Days (Warner Bros.), was released on July 19, 2011 and features guest vocalists Holly Miranda and and Sara Quinn (Tegan and Sara). London has performed at The Northside Festival in Brooklyn and the Montreal International Jazz Festival, and will be playing at South by Southwest in March 2012. Additionally, London has been profiled as a style icon in GQ, Esquire, Elle, NY Times, Fader and NME.
