Me Chama De Gato Que Eu Sou Sua (LP)

Ana Frango Elétrico
Such a groovy and lush jam. Every album of theirs just gets better and better! Read more

Sweet Justice (LP)

Tkay Maidza
A great balance of hard beats, lush R&B, and pop. She continues to kill it! Read more

Reflections - Mojave Desert (LP)

Floating Points
A beautiful experience. This is a set of live recordings set in Joshua Tree. Truly amazing hearing the sounds reverberate around the rocks and nature of such a beautiful place. Read more

Grand Insurgence Upon Despotic Altars (LP)

Disimperium
Man, this record is a bad time in the best way. No corny dungeon intro, no acoustic interludes, and not a shred of hope. The perfect soundtrack to a world in chaos on the brink of collapse. Read more

Vertumnus Caesar (LP)

Malokarpatan
The boys are back! This time with a concept album on the life and reign of Rudolph II, the notoriously reclusive emperor whose interest in the occult spawned rumors of heresy and devilry in his imperial court. Steeped as always in the tradition of heavy metal and first wave black metal, builds on the sound cultivated thus far by the band, but this time steps further into the world of 70's prog and vintage sythesisers, resulting in a seamless blend of Somewhere In Time-era Maiden and classic Master's Hammer. Transilvanian Glare (LP)

Arnaut Pavle
Absolutely killer black metal front to back. A vicious, uncompromising attitude overlaying haunting melodies that never veer into the saccharine, weepy territory occupied by lesser purveyors of the genre. Read more

Disharmonium - Nahab (LP)

Blut Aus Nord
Vindsval returns with another slab of oneiric black death. At once wonderous and terrifying, this record swims in the deepest waters of the collective unconscious and shows you just enough to give the impression that the horrors are not man-made, but are indeed beyond comprehension. Read more

Call of the Knife (LP)

Chain Whip
Easily my favorite contemporary hardcore band. Smart, straightforward, quick and righteously pissed. Canadians just do it better. Read more

Black Star Gnosis (LP)

Demoncy
Demoncy remerge from the shadows to do what they do best. Sinister, serpentine riffing drenched in murk and rot. Sounds the best on the darkest days. Read more

Servants of Sorcery (LP)

Fimbulwinter
One of black metal's best kept secrets. Before founding Dimmu Borgir, Shagrath and two cohorts recorded this sole full-length of blistering raw black mayhem. Though bootlegged a handful of times since its initial release in 1994, this is the first official reissue in nearly thirty years. Get yours while you can cuz you don't wanna wait another thirty! Read more

Hollow Psalms (LP)

Ludicra
One of comparatively few records in the world of extreme metal to be released in the early 00's and be worth anyone's time. But "Hollow Psalms" isn't just worth your time. It demands your time as it is some of the most compelling black metal of its time or any time. Read more

Skarpretterfossilet (LP)

Broder
Where the hell did this come from?! I never bothered checking this out cuz the internet describes them as "Drone/Doom/Noise" which is all fine and dandy, but I don't smoke *that* much weed anymore. I need riffs to hold my attention. This delivers in the vein of early Teitanblood with far more competent musicianship. Something is rotten in Denmark. Read more

Anno Domini (LP)

Tormentor
Before achieving notoriety as the vocalist on Mayhem's "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas" Attila Csihar fronted Hungarian maniacs Tormentor. Though stylistically removed from the common perception of black metal, Tormentor are nonetheless pillars of its foundational roots. Anno Domini, their second full-length demo, exemplifies this perfectly, employing sinister riffing, morbid and blasphemous lyrical themes, and raw intensity, all steeped in eerie majesty. Presented on Attila's own imprint, Saturnus Productions. Read more

1994’s Four-Calendar Café (2024 Remaster)& 1996’s Milk & Kisses (2024 Remaster) (LP)

Cocteau Twins
Theses reissues brings the records to vinyl in the United States for the first time, under the 4AD label. Robin Guthrie made 24-bit masters from his original studio mixes. The sound is amazing. I have only owned the CD’s ( and yes Cassette’s ) If you have a turntable run , do not walk and pick this up. Milk & Kiss’s is/was a “go to album “ that saw me thru a death, a major breakup & the last time I lived for an extensive time in London. It will always be in rotation. If i’m not mistaken it was recorded as the relationship between Robin & Elizabeth ended. Read more

Bauhaus Staircase (CD)

Orchestral Manoeuvres in the
Their 4th recording since reforming in 2006 ( i think their 14th album? ) Whether live or recorded O.M.D. keeps my spirit of the new wave 80s alive and ( dad ) dancing! I picked this up on CD ( i believe it lends itself better to this format ) though i’ll add the Vinyl to my archive. Read more
